Chania International Airport “Ioannis Daskalogiannis» (IATA: CHQ, ICAO: LGSA) is an international airport located near Souda Bay, the Akrotiri peninsula, 15 km from the city of Chania.
His name was given from “Ioannis Daskalogiannis”, the most famous guerrilla of Crete against the Ottoman Empire in the 18th century.
Chania airport does not really has the traffic of the Heraklion airport, but still manages about 1.5 million passengers a year.
